Pete Hegseth's Pentagon chief nomination may depend on Sen. Joni Ernst, a combat vet and advocate for sexual assault survivors.
Alleged Drinking, Womanizing Could Torpedo Hegseth
Pete Hegseth’s bid for Pentagon chief may just be in the hands of female combat veteran Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, who is also a staunch advocate of military sexual assault survivors.
Thursday on Fox News, she yielded a relatively strong indication of being a possible “no” by responding to the outlet’s inquiry about whether she was ready to vote for Hegseth.

Ernst has been viewed as the swing vote in Hegseth’s confirmation with her party loyalty and loyalty to Donald Trump, with her long-standing personal advocacy against military sexual assault at the forefront.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Hegseth can only afford to lose three Republican votes, assuming a unanimous decision by Democrats in opposition.
Hegseth has campaigned through his female family members, including his wife and mother. Still, it appears Ernst may be bound to her convictions given her track record on military sexual assault, which has granted her a certain “influence and credibility,” according to Politico.
Ernst met with Hegseth on Wednesday and reportedly said it was “frank and thorough.” On Fox News on Thursday, she elaborated further.
A number of our senators, they want to make sure that any allegations have been cleared and that’s why we have to have a very thorough vetting process. The vetting will continue, I am certain, through the next month or so until we approach that hearing date.
Hegseth is seemingly the diametric opposite of Ernst. He is a retired Iowa National Guard major facing allegations of sexual misconduct and excessive drinking while harboring the opinion that women should not be in combat.
Meanwhile, Ernst has a record of standing her ground on her beliefs. In 2019, she opposed a Pentagon nominee amid allegations of sexual misconduct. Ernst was the only Republican to vote against then-Air Force Gen. John Hyten as vice chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Hyten was ultimately confirmed as the allegations were deemed unsubstantiated.
Trump has considered national security advisor pick Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as a possible replacement.
According to Politico, allies of the president-elect have vowed to stand by Hegseth with possible repercussions for Ernst in the 2026 reelection.
Trump to Bypass FBI for Transition Background Checks
“If Joni votes no, she’s going to have a hard time with her reelection campaign,” one Republican senator said, adding that during any floor vote Hegseth, Trump “will be taking names.”
She should vote on what the people in her state want (Trump's agenda and judgment), not what she personally wants.
The background of military leadership and sexual assault needs to be brought to the forefront.
Cathy O'Brien (https://trance-formation.com/) revealed in TRANCE Formation of America (1995) the extent to which the U.S. government was deploying mind control science against Americans. In her documentary, Trance, she explains that mind control goes back to the Nazi takeover of the U.S. after WWII, with the knowledge and participation of Truman. Truman re-structured the Armed Forces in 1947, placing control over them in the hands of 12 Satanists called The Majestic 12.
Sue Ford expanded on the history of mind control in Thanks for the Memories (1999), which you can read online here: https://archive.org/details/brice-taylor-thanks-for-the-memories-with-pictures-large-font/page/n11/mode/2up?view=theater
MK Ultra is high-tech Satanic ritual abuse. As many times as I have stated this well proven fact, no one has had the moral courage to repeat it.
Mind control ALWAYS involves extreme trauma. The trauma is used not only to program a child, but to compartmentalize the memory of the trauma in an "alter" or "part" that remains a child. The front personalities don't remember the fact of the trauma, and a wilfully ignorant society pretends that the signs and symptoms of the trauma are "mental illness" that just appeared from nothing.
As I've exposed in many Substack posts, everyone in the miltary has been at risk of traum-based mind control. All officers have been subjected to trauma-based mind control. One of the goals of Satanic ritual abuse, aka MK Ultra, is to turn every victim into a perpetrator. (https://dianabarahona.substack.com/p/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-mind-control)
The effect on the military is that you won't find an experienced officer who hasn't been compromised in some way by this. Ernst knows we are not talking about a normal man who enjoys a drink and likes women, so I don't know what kind of game she's playing. https://dianabarahona.substack.com/p/governor-ronald-reagan-lobotomized
